Coffee is the world's second largest traded food crop. It's also one of the most widely chemically treated. In places it is being sprayed, without regulation, with DDT and other chemicals that have known hazards to health and the environment.
Karajoz Coffee Company uses only selected beans, from reputable suppliers where spray regimes are carefully monitored. And, in the case of our Organico coffee, the beans are entirely the product of organic, sustainable agriculture.

Organically grown and roasted coffee tastes as good or better than non-organic coffee. It is grown on healthy soil, free of all pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. Instead, farmers use wholly natural and sustainable rechniques, such as composting, inter-cropping, terracing, appropriate biological pest control plus shade trees such as mango and banana.
